Palmer High School's Student Council
Palmer High School's Student Council is a group of student LEADERS who work with an adult supervisor (Mrs. Reimers) to collaborate with others to impact their school community, which impacts their town. The Student Council is an organization that is comprised of student leaders who represent their fellow students and school. Throughout the year these Student Council members contribute positively back to the school and community in a variety of ways. The Student Council members will be called to serve other students by representing their issues. The Council does NOT have the power to change policies only to voice student opinion.
What is the purpose of Palmer High School's Student Council?
The Student Council has a highly active and functional role. Its purpose is:
• to present a positive leadership role and promote the general welfare of
the school and community
• to provide a forum for student expressions, opinions and concerns
• to provide a communication link between the student body and
administration
• to plan activities for the student body, giving them an opportunity to
express school spirit
